This poster provides a comparison between the creation of Protected Areas or PRs and Critical Habitats or CHs.
Protected Areas are established via national law but can take years to establish, whereas Critical Habitats require only LGU and/or DENR secretary approval, making the latter a far more efficient practice in environment conservation in the Philippines.
